Wanderzap plans trips. To do that we need a little information about you. We don't sell it, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
What we collect
- Your email address, to sign you in with a one-time code.
- Your travel profile: the answers to the travel quiz (who you travel with, pace, interests, budget, diet).
- Your trips: cities, number of days, dates, preferences and wishes you type in, the generated itineraries, and the places you swap, remove or lock (and why).
- Trip tools: travel documents you add (photos and PDFs such as tickets or passport pages), expenses and budget, and your packing list.
- Notifications: if you turn them on, a push token for your device and the topics you picked.
- Purchases: which plan you bought and when. Payments are handled by Apple; we never see your card details.
- Usage and diagnostics: which screens and features you use, and error reports when the app breaks, to improve Wanderzap.
We do not collect your device location, contacts or advertising identifier. We only access the photos, camera or files you choose to add as travel documents.
How we use it
- To build and personalize your itineraries, and learn from your swaps so future plans fit you better.
- To share a trip with the companions you approve: they see its plan, budget and documents. Your packing list stays private.
- To send the notifications you asked for.
- To give you access to what you paid for.
- To fix bugs and improve the app.
Who processes it for us
We rely on trusted providers, bound by contract to use your data only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: database, file storage, sign-in and servers (United States).
- Expo: delivers push notifications to your device.
- Anthropic: AI that writes your itinerary. It receives your trip request and travel profile, not your email.
- Google Maps Platform: place information (names, hours, ratings). It receives city and place searches only.
- Mixpanel: product analytics and error reports.
- RevenueCat and Apple: in-app purchases and subscriptions.
Hotel links open Booking.com in your browser; Booking's own privacy policy applies there.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, trips and purchase records with RevenueCat are deleted. Analytics events are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Delete account. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, by writing to hello@wanderzap.com. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have these rights too; we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
Children
Wanderzap is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll tell you in the app before it applies.
